FAQs

HAVE QUESTIONS?

What if I need a sub because I am out of town or sick?

Each season, every player is allocated two bye weeks. If you know in advance that you will be out of town, you can request a bye week so you won’t miss any matches. If you need to miss a week due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, we can often swap your bye week with another player. In cases where that isn’t possible, we will arrange for a substitute of a similar skill level to ensure your match proceeds smoothly.

Is there any coaching/instruction involved in these leagues?

In some leagues, players receive week-by-week individualized coaching using film from their matches. This allows each player to review their performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement targeted strategies. By learning from their own gameplay, players can enhance their skills and potentially improve their standings throughout the season.

What ball do we use?

We use the Franklin X-40 Ball

What is the format?

Each week, 8 of 10 players will be on the court, while 2 players have a bye week. Matches are played with 4 players per court, and each player competes with every other player for two games each, totaling 6 games per session.

Standings are tracked differently for men and women:

For men, standings are determined by win-loss record, with point differential used as a tiebreaker. Games are played to 11 points, win by 2.

For Women, standings are based on total points scored, adding up all points from the session. Games are played to 11 points, win by 1.

To determine the order of play, players can flip a paddle or request a number (1 or 2) to randomly select the order, ensuring fair and unbiased matchups.
