Major League Pickleball Format (MLP)

Bring the energy of Major League Pickleball to your local courts! Compete in a high-energy, team-first environment where strategy, skill, and teamwork win the day.

👥 Team Setup

• 4 players per team (2 men, 2 women)
  
• 8–12 teams per tournament
  
• Enter as a full team or get placed into one!

🎯 How Teams Are Made

👉 Each tournament will use ONE of these three formats for team creation:

1. Captain’s Draft – Snake-style draft with randomized order
2. Balanced Teams – Organizers create even teams for fairness
3. Bring Your Own Team – Grab 3 friends and sign up together
   
   

(The format will be announced before the tournament begins.)

🏆 Tournament Format

• Round Robin → Bracket Playoffs
  
• Each matchup = 4 games:
  
  • 1 Men’s Doubles
    
  • 1 Women’s Doubles
    
  • 2 Mixed Doubles (your choice of pairings)
    
• Games are to 11, win by 1
  
• Match winner = most games won
  
  

⚡ Playoffs & Dreambreaker

• Top teams advance to the playoff bracket
  
• If tied 2–2, it all comes down to the thrilling Dreambreaker:
  
  • Teams rotate mixed doubles pairings
    
  • First team to 11 wins!
